Kintock Celebrates National Nurses Week
May 12 --Kintock celebrated Nursing week to acknowledge the nursing staff’s commitment and hard work that they do every day for the organization.
“Our nurses at Kintock work with their hearts on their sleeve. They are compassionate and dedicated in providing high quality nursing care to the residents we support. We are grateful to have such an amazing team of nurses across this organization”, says Melanie Berthot, R.N., Kintock’s Director of Nursing.
Ms. Berthot oversees Kintock’s nursing staff at each of its residential locations in New Jersey and Pennsylvania, as well as a Registered Nurse Case Manager for its community reentry programs.
Kintock’s nursing staff provides basic medical care, psychiatric and medication monitoring for clients using medication assisted treatment, and case management services for clients in the community who require follow up care.
“Kintock’s medical department has significantly grown since Kintock began providing services in 2018. We recently hired Melanie Berthot, Kintock’s Director of Nursing. Melanie works together with the nursing staff and promotes teamwork and encourages the department to provide the highest level of patient care to all clients. I am proud of the leadership that Melanie has provided to the department and the quality of services that the nursing staff provides to all clients.”, says Gretchen Wiseman, Kintock’s Chief Administrative Officer.
National Nurses Week 2023, which runs from May 6th to May 12th, is an annual celebration that aims to raise awareness of the critical role nurses play in the healthcare system. This year's theme is "Nurses: The Heart of Healthcare," highlighting the integral role that nurses play in providing compassionate and personalized care to patients of all ages and backgrounds.
One of the highlights of National Nurses Week 2023 is the annual National Nurses Day, which takes place on May 6th. On this day, we celebrate the birthday of Florence Nightingale, the founder of modern nursing, and recognize the important contributions of nurses to healthcare and society as a whole.
