Visit Guidelines

Please note that visitation at the RCRPs will be conducted in accordance with the Centers for Disease Controls (CDC) COVID-19 Community Levels Activity Level Report that provides color-coded tiers to determine what if any restrictions will be implemented.

Visitation for NJ DOC Programs in Bridgeton and Newark has resumed.  Please note that the visiting schedule may be impacted by the CDC's Weekly Activity Report which provides data on COVID-19 transmission risk.  This report can be viewed here:

  • The location of visits (indoor or outdoor) will be determined by the CDC's COVID-19 Activity Level Report.  

  • All visitations shall be no more than one (1) hour in duration.

  • All visitations shall be by appointment only and arranged by the resident the week prior to the visit.  

  • Scheduled outdoor visitations may be cancelled in accordance with standard procedure and/or because of inclement weather.  Visit cancellations will be communicated to the residents and via the Kintock website as far in advance as possible. 

  • All visitations shall be limited to two adult visitors and two children.

  • Social distancing and physical contact between the resident and visitor(s) will be determined permitted based on the CDC's color-coded tiers.

  • All visitors over age 2 are required to wear face coverings (surgical mask or fabric mask) covering both their nose and mouth at all times while on the premises unless they present a doctor's note indicating there is a medical reason why they must be exempted. Failure to abide by this directive or present a valid doctor's note may result in the termination of the visit or denial of entry into the facility.

  • Procedures have been implemented by Kintock to ensure the cleaning and disinfecting of all hard surfaces before and after each visit session. Increased hand washing measures and sanitizing products will be made available to all visitors.

  • Temperatures will be taken of all visitors entering the facility. Individuals having a fever of l00.4°F or above or displaying and/or reporting other signs of COVID-19 illness are not permitted inside the facility. 

  • Visitors are to be screened for signs if COVID-19 illness prior to being permitted entry via a CDC questionnaire.

  • Facility staff will obtain a signed consent and waiver from each visitor at the time of the visit. A parent or guardian shall sign the form for each child under the age of 18.

  • All other standard visitation rules remain in effect.
