The Kintock Group Acquires Property, Looks to Expand Services in Philadelphia
May 3, 2023--Kintock is pleased to announce that it has acquired a new property in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania that will allow the company to expand its current service offerings.
“We are very excited with the acquisition of the Luzerne property and we look forward to expanding our residential programming in Philadelphia,” said Walter Simpkins, CEO of Kintock.
According to Simpkins, this acquisition marks the first major site purchase in nearly 20 years and he asserts that the expansion will help bolster access to reentry services for individuals within the city of Philadelphia and surrounding areas.
“Our aim is to provide broader access to critical reentry services for both criminal justice populations as well as formerly incarcerated individuals transitioning to the community,” added Paul Taggines, COO of Kintock.
Located at 600 East Luzerne Street, the Luzerne site consists of two 20,000 sq ft facilities, that are less than one mile from Kintock’s Erie Avenue facility. Situated in the Juniata Park section of Philadelphia, the Luzerne site is easily assessable by public transportation. The building is comprised of resident dormitories, day rooms, classrooms, a computer lab, a dining room, and a multi-purpose area that can be used for recreation and visiting. There is also an outdoor recreation yard and a parking lot.
