Kintock Mourns Passing of Richard Roundtree

It is with heavy hearts and deep sorrow that we reflect on the unexpected passing of Richard Rountree, who passed away at his home on Thursday, November 30, 2023.

Mr. Roundtree had been an integral part of Kintock since March 2015, serving as a Resident Supervisor in the Operations Department at Kintock's Bridgeton site. He was a dedicated employee who had an impact on everyone he encountered. He treated everyone who entered the building with respect and always maintained a high level of professionalism.

"Mr. Rountree was dedicated to his job, and it showed from the respect he gained for his co-workers and the residents,” said Marcos DeJesus, Bridgeton Site Administrator.

Mr. Roundtree worked primarily in the treatment building where he managed the front lobby. “For many of us, he was the first friendly face we encountered at the start of our workday. With a warm smile, he efficiently navigated us through the metal detector, setting a positive tone for the day ahead,” added Marcos.

Always willing to go the extra mile, Mr. Roundtree readily volunteered for overtime on his days off and extended his shifts to assist the oncoming team. He was a pillar of support in the Operations Department, someone who could consistently be counted on. Mr. Roundtree’s exemplary work ethic and integrity set a high standard.

Beyond his professional contributions, Mr. Rountree was a friend to everyone noted Marcos.

“He was a kind and gentle person who was loved by everyone who had the chance to know him.”

As we mourn the loss of our colleague, let us remember the bright spirit that Mr. Roundtree brought into our lives. He was more than a co-worker; he was a cherished member of our Kintock family.
