The Kintock Group is thrilled to announce that it has recently received a grant from the Pennsylvania Commission on Crime and Delinquency (PCCD) to provide Women’s Reentry Services in Philadelphia. This announcement comes on the heels of Kintock’s other voluntary reentry program endeavors that were launched in New Jersey in 2022—Vantage Point and Village of Hope Transitional Housing Program.

Unlike Kintock's current programs in Philadelphia, which are required as a part of each resident’s sentence or as a condition of probation/parole, the Women’s Reentry Services Initiative is a completely voluntary program. It offers a customized approach to helping those formerly incarcerated. Clients are able to meet with a Reentry Specialist at locations that are convenient to where the individual lives or works, and support services are tailored to the specific needs of each individual.

“Women released from prison face a myriad of challenges upon returning to their communities. Among them are the absence of stable and suitable housing, access to child care and medical services. We are excited to be able to help bridge the gap between release and reintegration by offering critical services to address each client’s individual reentry needs,” said Walter Simpkins, CEO of The Kintock Group.

Kintock is one of 21 recipients that was awarded funding for the Women’s Reentry Services Initiative grant through the Pennsylvania Commission on Crime and Delinquency (PCCD). The initiative was championed by Pennsylvania’s First Lady Frances Wolf, and the program funds will support non-profit organizations to provide holistic reentry support services to assist women in their return to communities across Pennsylvania.

PCCD’s mission is to enhance the quality, coordination, and planning within the criminal and juvenile justice systems, to facilitate the delivery of services to victims of crime, and to increase the safety of our communities.

Established by law in 1978, the Pennsylvania Commission on Crime and Delinquency (PCCD) serves as the justice planning and policymaking agency for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. By bringing together a wide range of experts in the fields of criminal and juvenile justice, victim services, and related professions, PCCD coordinates the collective examination of problems, proposes solutions, and evaluates the impact of those solutions.
