Kintock’s Newark CRC Program is proud to celebrate one of our clients and his powerful success story – Mr. Salley has taken a major step toward building a rewarding career by being accepted into the National Career Institute (NCI) HVAC and Electrical Assistant Certificate Training Program and officially began classes during the first week of March.

Like some individuals entering our CRC program for the first time, Mr. Salley initially had reservations. However, his growth mindset and perseverance made all the difference.

"I felt different about coming to the CRC when I was first mandated to attend,” Mr. Salley explained. “I didn't think I was going get anything from it at first. But, I learned patience and did not give up trying."

Throughout his time at CRC, Mr. Salley actively pursued every employment and educational opportunity presented to him – he applied for job placement services, educational referrals, and took advantage of Federal Bonding opportunities offered through the program.

"When job and education opportunities were offered, I applied,” he said. “I never thought about HVAC certification before the CRC and would not have had the opportunity without the CRC being involved. I am now on the road to a new career, not just a job – I am extremely grateful to the CRC.”

Mr. Salley’s story highlights the resilience, growth and the positive impact of taking full advantage of opportunity.

When asked about this next new chapter in his life, Mr. Salley said: "I'm excited and ready for the new opportunities and experiences ahead of me. I never had an opportunity like this before and I'm going to take full advantage of it."
